The mission of I-FREED
is to strengthen under privileged communities to facilitate self-sustenance by:
I-FREED wishes to extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed and
volunteered for Hurricane Katrina and South East Asian Tsunami relief efforts. It is our privilege to deliver
your kind and generous aid to those affected by these tragedies.
We wish to thank fellow Houstonians,
businesses and organizations as well as the Sri Lankan American community for their generosity and compassion
that led to financial and logistical aid and many hours of volunteer work. Thank You.

On 26 December 2004, South East Asia was ravaged by the most powerful earthquake in 40 years and the ensuing tsunami turned this into one of the largest disasters in recent history. The death toll was over 200,000. Many of the dead were children. Millions were rendered homeless, orphaned and destitute. I-FREED will target its relief efforts towards long term rehabilitation/ support of the affected individuals and improvement of health care facilities. |
